Choosing definitive words for this website has been a real challenge for no other reason than that the processes of growth, enlightenment, and deepening of understanding (which are all just one process) have been feeling like they run counter to the process of defining. One transcends and becomes wider, fuller, and more inclusive; the other tightens and shrinks.
The same goes for how it feels to define me. In my years (if we go on the assumption that time really does exist) of studying how to find and know God as well as how to feel God moving in all of my life, I have become more of an ocean and less of a fish.
Describing my role (as it pertains to you) is equally challenging. I have hemmed and hawed on how to present myself since any of a number of words would be both accurate and inaccurate, but for a starting place, I'll name some which come to mind, and I'll get as simple as possible to keep inaccuracies to a minimum: researcher, compiler and reporter (of my findings derived from my intensely-committed, personal journey toward Wholeness); one who cares, one to help you see, one who will ask you, one who will inspire you, one who will comfort you where needed and stretch you when stretching is needed; coach, consultant, guide, minister, spiritual teacher and messenger, mystic, developing psychic, amateur philosopher, Love Itself, and student (still, yes!).
It might be easiest to name some of the principles from which I work and through which healing (equaling greater Wholeness) has been known to happen:
- "It does not matter what your teacher is so long as you connect with The Love that is there.
At that moment of Connection, the world becomes your minister and your teacher." -- (A friend)
- God (the backdrop of Existence) hungers for a relationship (connection) with His/Her/Its Children
and awaits their Attention (Love).
- Everything in Existence can reveal a gate to God; eyes looking for the gates will find them.
- Healings are prayed for, which shows a receptivity to God who is the one who does any healing.
- Suffering happens and when it does, it, too, with the right attitude, can act as a gate.
- "Vows begin when hope dies." - Leonardo da Vinci
- Faith is a living entity. Faith without action dies. It must be kept alive through your continued
opening to Source. With Source flowing through you, you will be inspired to the courageous and Loving acts of regular sharing, opening yourself in vulnerability, honesty, and to shower Love upon others as you listen with complete presence to their sharings.
- We must become the love and integrity we wish to get.
- God creates miracles today for those who believe and even for those who don't, but while they are
offered freely, we must learn to hold them in our bodies. Too often, we scatter our energy, remain disorganized inside and out, distract ourselves, busy ourselves, rush through life, take our health for granted, ignore the quiet and loving voice which is always wanting to steer us right...all things which break down life and create misery. If we are going to ask for miracles and peace and bliss, we must support them through commitment to cherishing what we are given. The more we appreciate, the more is given.
- "Prejudice of any kind implies that you are identified with the thinking mind. It means you don't see
the other human being anymore, but only your own concept of that human being. To reduce the aliveness of another human being to a concept is already a form of violence." -- Eckhart Tolle: Stillness Speaks
- "The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are
limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were." -- John F. Kennedy
- Human honors and distinctions are meaningless. (a Friends and Quakers belief as presented by
Reverend Collin Garrett)
- God's Love, expressed through everything, the hunger to connect with that Love, and the ability
and willingness to surrender into that Love, are the catalysts for everything Good.
- The path to relationship (and even world) wholeness begins with healing oneself. Individuals who
continually expand themselves can positively affect a relationship (or community) even when the other is seemingly not following the same path.
- We are not the same one moment to the next.
- We are all hungering for the same thing. In the journey toward "the goal", some are more Aware
and Conscious and Committed than others. Some get there sooner. And once there, some go deeper sooner, but the process is the same regardless of the externals shown or seen.
- We all have "supernatural" gifts from God, knowing which we have (those we are presently in touch
with) and developing them (and even the ones we're not yet aware of) helps us use them to better serve Ourselves and other of God's Creations. One of my gifts is that of an empath where my body takes on what--energetically and spiritually (things I couldn't have guessed using logic!!)--another is feeling (this actually sometimes makes it hard to know whether I'm feeling "my stuff" or another's but that's fine because I now do better at not pretending to know which is which).
- Purifying the spirit and body anywhere helps to purify the spirit and body everywhere.
- Each individual follows their own path to spiritual awakening, and it is my vow to respect all paths
and honor each person's personal journey toward Truth.
- Discovering the truth does not take scholarly study. In the words of Alan Watts, "It is not easy for
the pious Christian to realize that Jesus was not an expert on the history of religion, and had probably never met anyone whose mystical vision was as deep as his own."
